With all this talk of family, I haven't mentioned the fuzziest member of the Mumpower family. Alize, or Ali for short. Ali is almost 4 years old now! She is a beautiful cat who is very much a lap kitty. She has her moments when she just wants to be mean and independent, but you can see how sweet she is by how she carries around her "babies." She has a little white kitty and a pink puppy (in the picture) that she carries around. She will carry them up and down the stairs, depending on where we are, and will also place them by her food and water bowls so they can eat. Her little white kitty was actually a present Aaron brought me when he came home from work one day in Virginia. I placed it on a table and Ali decided it was hers and took it off the table. We couldn't say no!

Ali is our little guard cat... as long as there is a door between her and the intruder. She will run as soon as she hears the doorbell or someone knocking, but if she hears a bird... that bird better watch out! Too bad Ali wouldn't know what to do if she ever went outside and caught one! In this picture you can see her staring down one of the many lizards that visit our backyard from time to time. She is also protective of Ashlyn. Even from the very start... when I was pregnant, every night Ali would curl up next to my belly and sleep. And Ali has accepted Ashlyn into the family from the very first day we brought her home from the hospital.

Ali knows how to get our attention. We know that when she rolls over and exposes her belly, she wants us to come over and pet her. And, of course, we always do! She is fully aware of how cute she is!

Well, I could go on and on with stories about Ali, but I will leave it at that for now!

**WARNING! CORNY PUN AHEAD!** Come by again and "paws" for awhile!
