Our little ballerina had a couple of recitals this weekend! She had one at the Assisted Living Center Friday morning right after her last class of the session. Aaron was able to get away from work to come and bring the new camera we just got in that same morning. Then this morning, Saturday, all the classes (there are 3... two classes for 2-5 year olds called the "butterflies" and one class of 6-8 year olds called the "swans") had a recital in front of the NEX. All the girls did so well! Most of the pictures I'm putting up are from the Saturday recital (after we had time to play around and get comfortable with the camera) but there is one from Friday.
The older girls went first, and then Ashlyn's class.
Isn't she sweet?
Tip-toeing across the "river."
Her Tigger growl (more on that in the video below).
We gave Ashlyn a pink rose after her performance (and a new toy she got to pick out afterward, but that's neither here nor there... she's just spoiled).
Ashlyn and her teacher, Michelle!
This last picture was from her Friday recital. She was just so cute and looked so graceful.
Wow, looking through these pictures after putting this post together it has really hit me how fast she is growing! Her teacher said yesterday that she noticed that she looked bigger/older just from last week and I can really see it in some of these pictures.
And there are quite a few cute videos Aaron took on Friday, but we decided to share this one for now. This happened after the full performance at the Assisted Living Center and the girls all got cookies. Ashlyn wanted to continue dancing (with her best friend Anaya) but didn't want to give up her cookie. So sorry she's not all jumpy like usual during the Tigger Dance, but her growl is just so cute at the end (always is but is harder to catch in a picture) we had to include it. Aaron says only cookies are afraid of her growl. :) Enjoy!
She is so cute!!! I can tell by the pictures (and video) that she really enjoys dancing.
