The Roar Of An Airplane... Or Was That A Dinosaur?

Well, here we go with our updates from our week in Florida! First thing first, Ashlyn had her doctor's appointment to get her hips checked out. Come to find out... they have formed perfectly and she doesn't need them to be checked anymore! Yay!

After her appointment on Monday, we headed to the Jacksonville Museum of Science and History. Right inside the front door is a little play area for kids under 5. So of course we had to check that out for a minute.

Then we went to go check out the whale section. Ashlyn really enjoyed looking at the big model of a whale.

Then we found a dinosaur! They were going to be opening a new dinosaur exhibit right when we were going to be leaving Florida, but they had this out to promote it. Ashlyn is interested in dinosaurs right now (among many, many other things) so she kept raising her hands up like claws and roaring at him. It was hard to catch on the camera, but it was super cute.

She even got a stuffed Triceratops before we left. The museum also had a few animals to check out. She loved the turtles, birds, and the owls. She would tweet at the birds and hoot at the owls.

On the base in Jacksonville, there is an aviation outdoor museum I guess you could call it. There are a bunch of planes on display. Ashlyn is also very interested in planes (as well as boats and trains) so she was excited to check them out Tuesday morning.

Aaron enjoyed it, too. :)

We had also gone to the playground that's close to the planes before actually checking out the planes. Ashlyn had a blast! It was a very busy morning and afterward we went back to the hotel room to relax before Aaron's parents joined us. We'll post more soon with pictures of our Disney trip!! There are a LOT of pictures to go through so it might be a couple of days. ;)

  1. I'm glad that Ashlyn's hips are ok, that is wonderful news that you don't have to worry about it anymore. :)

The museum looks like a lot of fun! And your hair is getting so long and pretty! Ashlyn's too! (Not saying your hair wasn't pretty before. *lol* You know what I mean!)
