Another Update

Hi everyone!  Here's another look at what the Mumpower family does during a regular week.  :)

We spent some time at the pool Monday morning.  Ashlyn has a really cool floaty that keeps her up really well.  She can kick around and play and not tip over or anything.  She is getting really good at just kicking around (she doesn't feel comfortable laying down with our hands on her belly so she can try really swimming, even in the floaty, yet) and moves pretty quickly sometimes.  She loves it.  After pool time, we went out for lunch and then over to PetCo to get Prim some new toys.  Some of her toys were very well loved and it was time to get her some hardier toys.  Aaron had to work Monday night, so we girls just hung out and had some fun.  Ashlyn is really excited about the new movie, Brave, that's coming out next week.  She always wants to watch the trailers.  She used to call her "the girl with the bow and arrow" until she learned that it is Princess Merida.  So I printed out a couple of coloring pages for her.

Tuesday we had a Lilo & Stitch movie night.  We had Aloha Pork Skillet, Hawaiian bread, and shaved ice.  We all wore grass skirts and leis and learned how to hula before watching the movie.

On Wednesday, Ashlyn's friend, Kristianna, came over with her grandma and aunt to go swimming.  We all had a lot of fun and after they left, Ashlyn drew a picture of the fun.  The stuff at the bottom is water and she told me "This is Kristianna, Daddy, me, and you, Mommy!  Swimming in the pool!"

Thursday and Friday were calm.  Friday is almost always grocery shopping day. Nothing too exciting.  :)  Saturday was pretty calm, too.  Aaron went to a Warmachine tournament and Ashlyn and I went shopping.  I wanted to start picking up a few things for our Brave movie night next weekend.  I also picked up some cool crafts for us to do when it rains.  I hasn't rained in a couple of days now, but it is still rainy season, so we'll need them.  :)  At the Dollar Store Ashlyn found a Brave sticker book so of course I got that and a few sticker packs.  We didn't wait on that one, though.  She wanted to put the stickers in the book right away.  :)  We put aside a couple of packs to do later, though.  She's pretty excited about trying to collect all of them.

And now we're at today... Father's Day!  Unfortunately, Aaron had to work at 2, but Ashlyn helped make hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy for breakfast.  We'll have a nice dinner on Tuesday, which is the next night Aaron has off.  Ashlyn has also been playing dress up (first she wore Tinker Bell wings, then a Belle dress, then she wanted to be a peacock) and we will probably do some sort of craft later.  We will also have lots to do next week... lots of activities, Brave on Saturday, and Ashlyn's classes start up!  I'll be back next week with more Mumpower news!
