8 Months Old!!!

No new pictures for now, but I had to post a little about our now 8 month old! Our baby girl is growing up so fast. As I posted a little while ago, she has learned to clap and does so all the time. She even knows to clap when we look at her and say "yay!" She has mastered pointing, too. She doesn't necessarily point at anything to say that she wants it, but she will point at what she is looking at or playing with and poke everything. :)

Her doctor in Florida did say that her brace could have delayed her in rolling over and crawling, but she is catching up by leaps and bounds now that she doesn't need it! Just today she started sitting up by her toys and got herself to her belly to get to another toy. She didn't crawl, but she scooted herself around on her belly all over her play mat. I was very proud of her!

She is still a very good eater. There is only one or two things she will not eat! She is up to three solid meals a day now and loves every minute of it! We are even starting her on some 3rd foods that have some soft chunks in it to help her learn to chew. She only gets those every once in a while right now so she gets used to the texture.

She is still a cuddly, lovey little girl but she is getting much better at playing by herself, too. She is the love of our lives and every day she shows us yet another reason why we are so very lucky to have her. Happy 8 month birthday, Ashlyn. We love you with all our heart!
