Happy Easter everyone! We had a wonderful day, as we hope you all did, too. Our day started out at church. Ashlyn is usually very good during church. When we first get there, she sits and looks at the church bulletin.
Then she will usually take a nap and have a bottle. She also loves greeting everyone. After church got out, we came home to find out that the Easter bunny had stopped by for Ashlyn! She got an alphabet ball by Leap Frog (one of our favorite toy companies) that has 3 different modes. A letter mode, animal mode, and music mode. So when you spin the middle part, it will name the letter and make its sound, name an animal and make its sound, or play music. She seems to like it, but we think once she is a little older and she understands it a little more, she will enjoy it a lot more. She also got a sit-to-stand walker. We took it off the legs that you see it on in the picture since she isn't tall enough when she sits to reach it yet. But it has a few modes, too, and has lots of things to press, pull, and turn. She had a lot of fun playing with it. She was playing with the puppy joystick, the piano keys, and the steering wheel (complete with horn) right away!
After the fun of discovering her new toys, and after a quick dip in our new pool, it was time for Ashlyn's solid meal of the day. She loves peas and we found a jar of sweet peas at the NEX today. So we put her in her highchair while we got her food out and she was just having a great time. She loves the toys on the tray and I was able to capture her acting goofy and playing with the bird.
