Here are the kitty cat cake pops I made (cake and frosting balls covered in vanilla-flavored chocolate - super yummy).
Here is the present table.

Ashlyn loved to play with the balloons while we were getting ready to decorate with them!
Here is the front walkway... before it rained! Yep, it decided to rain before the party. Some of the pawprints I drew were ruined, but many stayed safe.
Here is the banner we ordered that went on the front door.
Here is what the backyard looked like -again before it rained. The streamers got ruined, but that's okay. Aaron put some up in the living room...
and we had some of the party inside. Eventually it got sunny and some of the kids got in the pool and splashed around.
Here is the table we set up in the living room. There are two little brown-haired sailor girls, a cat painted on canvas that was inspired by the cat in the theme we were doing and painted by a family friend in Alabama, two cups with the cake pops, a picture slideshow of Ashlyn at every month of her life, and a guessing game where our guests wrote down how many goldfish crackers they thought were in the bowl. The winner got the bowl with the fish in it. We had also put pawprint and cat stickers on the bowl.
Here is the pawprint cake we made. Strawberry cake with vanilla frosting.
Here is Ashlyn's very own smash cake! (I swear the decorating gel tube says the color is lavender. Why it came out blue, I will never know.)
When we gave Ashlyn her cake she first just played with the icing...
Then she went ahead and dug on in!!
Here is the aftermath!
Here is one of the party guests... Ashlyn's friend Arya! It was her birthday, too! We had cat ears for whoever wanted to wear them.
Aaron and I wore them, too. What a great Daddy to wear kitty ears for his baby girl!
So our beautiful daughter is now 1 year old! We wish her all the happiness in the world and can't wait to see what the next year brings.
Everything turned out so good! Happy Birthday Ashlyn!
