A Whole New World

When we woke up for our first full day with my dad, we took our time getting ready. Ashlyn's Granny Georgia had made her a very cute Mickey shirt with her monogram. It went perfect with some polka dot leggings we already had. I think she would have looked ADORABLE wearing that and getting a picture taken with Minnie Mouse, but the lines were just super long to see Minnie and the rest of the Fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto). But anyway, while we were getting ready, we got a great shot of Ashlyn running up to her Grandpa!

None of us had ever been to Epcot, so it was completely new to us. Well, I take that back. Aaron went before when he was pretty young, but he doesn't remember anything about it. Georgia did send me a picture of the two of them in front of Spaceship Earth. We tried to replicate the picture with Aaron and Ashlyn, but I had forgotten to bring the original so we were a little off. If you look in the original picture, the new one was taken by the red flowers in the background (but of course the flowers and stuff have changed since then).
Just about a week before we came, the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival had started. So there were a ton of really cool topiaries all around the park. This is just the first one at the entrance.

We bought this pink puppy kid's travel pillow for Ashlyn awhile ago for her to grow into. We went ahead and took it with us this trip just in case and it really helped. She looked silly, but at least her head didn't flop completely forward when she fell asleep in her car seat or stroller.

While in Epcot we went to Pick A Pearl in Japan. It was really cool and Aaron had me get two pearls (you pick the oyster and you can get anything from really tiny pearls to big, black pearls) and we put it in this setting.

It is really beautiful.

We ran into Marie in France and Mary Poppins in the United Kingdom.

We left Epcot in the early evening because we had reservations to the Rainforest Cafe! Aaron really wanted to go back because it's fun, the food is decent, and Ashlyn really likes it there. :) Aaron took this video during one of the rainstorms. It's a little dark since, well, it's during a rainstorm haha but I hope you can see the big smile Ashlyn gives Aaron. She just loves it and after the storm is over she goes right back to coloring. :)
