Ashlyn's New Crib

Well, as I said yesterday, Ashlyn's old crib got recalled. We loved that crib, but there are NO chances taken with our precious baby girl! I guess there was a piece on the drop-side that could break off if the baby kicks it really hard in just the right way and could pose a hazard. We were allowed to keep the drawer that went under it and the changing table/drawers part to it since nothing was wrong with those pieces and everything was just going to get trashed anyway. That way we didn't have to spend $250 on a new changer/dresser! We will eventually have to buy a full sized dresser anyway so we didn't really want to spend that much on something we'd use for only a year or so if that.

Anyway, we got a very nice looking crib that will still convert into a toddler bed, day bed, and headboard/footboard. Aaron even surprised me today by rearranging the furniture in her room. It all looks really nice. We are planning on looking for new sheets, too, and will slowly start to decorate her room in a theme that will grow with her better than pond friends (her current nursery theme). :) We'll save the pond friends for our second baby, if we have one. Here is a picture of the crib:

I see you!

We tried to take a picture of Ashlyn's teeth today, but she wasn't really cooperating. We started yawning to try and make her yawn so we could get one! lol This is the best picture we took.

My teeth HURT!!!!

Her teeth really weren't hurting her, she was just mid-yawn. If you click on the picture to make it bigger, you can see a little white thing poking out. We tried to add an arrow pointing to it, but our drawing programs weren't cooperating with us, either. Both of her bottom teeth are making good progress and I can't wait to see how cute she'll be with both of them completely out. :)

  1. Her yawn is so cute! Good idea for yawning in order to get her to yawn!

And I know this is the wrong post but your 4th of July table was so cute!
